Kemuel Roig is a Jazz Pianist who is originally from Cuba. Kemuel’s performing genre is mainly Afro-Cuban Jazz and Traditional Jazz Fusions. Roig’s style of piano playing is a mix of artists like Chucho Valdez, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Chick Corea, McCoy Tyner, Fred Herch, Brad Mehldau, Keith Jarrett, among other. You can hear how much he has been influenced by all these artists in his album “Genesis” & latest single releases from the upcoming album “Live Acoustic Session”.

Presenting a short overview of Kemuel’s career, shortly after his arrival to the USA, he received his Master’s Degree from the prestigious school “Frost School of Music” University of Miami. During this time, Roig joined the band of Grammy Award Winner Jazz Trumpet player Arturo Sandoval at the age of 20 for a total of 8 years. During his years with Sandoval, he recorded on Arturo’s album entitled “Live at Yoshi’s”, and toured extensively around the world throughout those years. Later on, Kemuel appeared as a featuring artist on the album “Opus” of American / Italian Virtuoso Guitarist Al Di Meola and went on tour with him for 2 years.

After his tour with Al Di Meola, he recorded his latest Afro-Cuban Jazz (Latin Jazz) Album entitled “Genesis” which received amazing reviews including a 4 stars review from the UK’s Biggest Selling Jazz Magazine “Jazzwise”. “Genesis” also featured top-class musicians such as Chris Potter, Randy Brecker, Ed Calle, Alain Perez, Julito Padron, among others. “Genesis” is an album mainly composed of original compositions, and includes arrangements A La Afro-Cuban Jazz of Jazz Standards such as “All God’s Chillun Got Rhythm” and “Inner Urge” This album had an PR campaign with Jazz Publicist Lydia Liebman (https://lydialiebman.com)

In addition to this, we have released in the last couple of months 3 singles “The Prayer (Live)”, “Kendrick (Live)”, and “Cafe Con Leche (Live)”, from our upcoming album entitled “Live Acoustic Session”.
