KCC PRODUCTIONS RETURNS TO APAP 2009

KCC Productions, South Florida’s premier contact for fine jazz and world music, headed by the dynamic Kimberly Chmura, returns for its second year of showcases at the New York Hilton Hotel and Towers on Saturday, January 10, 2009, at the Harlem Suite on the fourth floor during the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Conference.

KCC Productions and Kimberly Chmura have partnered with Rafael Solano, a highly respected music professional who has worked with some of  the jazz and Latin music world’s biggest stars.  Together they will be showcasing a feast of great performers: from Grammy nominees Sammy Figueroa and his Latin Jazz Explosion and Juan Carlos Formell to The Fred Thomas Band, headed by James Brown’s bass player of 32 years.    These showcases crown a year of exciting accomplishments by KCC Productions, some of which include:

  • Sleepless Nights 2008:  In November 2008 KCC Productions produced an 8 hour-long concert of continuous jazz at the Bass Museum of Art inMiami Beach as part of the momentous city-wide Sleepless Nights event.

 

  • JAZZ at MOCA:  KCC Productions has produced a number of highly successful open air concerts at North Miami’s Museum of Contemporary Art.

 

  • The Van Dyke:  Twice monthly KCC Productions presents jazz at SouthBeach’s world-famous jazz boîte.

 

  • Miami Beach City Parks Concerts:  In conjunction with Miami Beach’s Department of Cultural Affairs, KCC has presented numerous concerts throughout the year at various outdoor sites.

 

In addition, KCC Productions has produced an album by the brilliant Russian pianist Dmitriy Klevenskiy, to be released in early 2009.    Presenters and the public alike are warmly invited to stop by the Harlem Suite on January 10, 2009 to hear and see the great performers offered by KCC Productions.
